Adrian Mc Myler
My name is Adrian Mc Myler. I am 24 years old and I am running as an Independent candidate in the Buncrana electoral area in the local elections on June 7th.I come from a well known family, my father is Pat Mc Myler a former town councillor and currently a partner along with Frank Dorrian of a family firm PA Dorrian & Co Solicitors. My mother is Sandra, originally from Dublin, and looks after holiday rentals abroad. My brother, Paddy Mc Myler, lives in New Zealand and is director of a dairy factory. I am very lucky to have a fantastic family and a very supportive and strong community of friends also. I am grateful to these people and the community of Inishowen, as a gay person living in rural Ireland it is such a supportive, open, and welcoming place. I’m so proud of Buncrana & Inishowen.From a young age I have always volunteered and wanted to help others. I used to torture the town councillors years ago, as I always aspired to be like them. One of the biggest achievements in my life was to set up a local sick children’s charity back in 2016 at 16 years of age. Since then, I have been a mental health advocate, fundraised for many local charities and most recently was a member of the group that established the Inish Theatre Group to raise money for a much needed lift in St Mary’s Hall, a cause which I will continue to work towards.As a young person, like many young people today in Inishowen, I emigrated to Australia for one year and I was lucky enough to be one of the organisers for Sydney's St Patrick’s Day Festival ensuring Buncrana & Inishowen had a strong presence there. However I missed home a lot and felt I could come home and make a big difference in the community and hopefully someday many people like me will come home to Donegal once we have a better local economy here.I would really appreciate your number 1 Vote for Adrian Mc Myler as your Independent representative for the Donegal County Council election - Buncrana electoral area.
